The Inside Scoop to the Buzz at the Basin

Pali's Pitch – June 6, 2010

The Inside Scoop to the Buzz at the Basin

WOW… We're Closed!

Arapahoe Basin closed for the 09/10 season at 4pm on Sunday, June 6. It truly was a great day; we had perfect bluebird weather, spring skiing conditions and great friends surrounding us.

We have begun de-construction of the Exhibition chairlift. We created a "Lift Construction" page so you can keep up to date on the construction of Black Mountain Express. You can also visit our web cams which will give you a view of the lower lift terminal.

Don't forget to let us know what you think of A-Basin by taking our quick survey

A FEW WORDS FROM COO/VP ALAN HENCEROTH

What a great closing day. It is amazing what happens when you put snow, water, sunshine, fun people, skis, and snowboards together. I think everyone I saw was having a great time and the pond skimming on Lake Reveal may have been an all time best.

On Monday, June 7, we started the de-construction of Exhibition Lift. The lift crew has already moved in and we are well on our way building the Black Mountain Express. Stay tuned to our website for photos, videos, and details about the project.

I would like to thank everyone that skied with us this season.  I hope each of you gets a chance to enjoy a little summer action. Four months from now we will be making snow and getting ready to open. I look forward to seeing all of you then. Thanks for being a friend of A-Basin.

Take care,

Alan Henceroth
