Bikes, Brats, N' Brews
Sat, Jul 29
Location: Mountain Goat Plaza
Our 4 hours of BLT MTB race and summer Festival of the Brewpubs return and combine for one, awesome day of bike riding, beer drinking, brat eating, and live music!
Even if you're not racing your mountain bike you should still come out to cheer on the participants, sample beers from multiple local breweries, enjoy our locally made sausages, and listen to live music by The Laughing Bones Trio. While you are up here you can take a scenic chairlift ride, hike, play a free round of disc golf, and enjoy what is (usually) a lovely Colorado day in our beautiful base area surrounded by mountains. Our trails and outdoor base area are dog-friendly, too!

4 Hours of B.L.T. MTB Race
This event is exactly as it sounds: 4 hours spent enjoying the views and breathing deep on our backcountry style mountain bike trails. Why? Because ... why not? A-Basin is all about earning turns and enjoying the way down, from our winter uphill access to our expanding, backcountry-style mountain bike trail system that will *not* include lift bike haul. Bring your climbing legs and lungs because you will be ascending from our base area at 10,500 feet to our summit around 12,456 feet and back down again… as many times as you can in 4 hours!
FORMAT: A mini-endurance race styled off 24-hour racing to get to know all the current Arapahoe Basin MTB Trails! The race will use a le mans style mass start with a start loop and then as many B.L.T. loops as racers can fit into 4ish hours. Results will be based on the number of laps and time across the line after 4 hours. Riders will compete in their categories against the clock for guts, glory, Strava bragging rights (if you're into that), and prizes! Costumes are strongly encouraged.
07:30 am - 8:15 am: Registration in Guest Service (You will be given your number plate at this point)
08:20 am: Racer Meeting in Mountain Goat Plaza

Racers will start up Argentine North Fork Trail to the Upper Summer Road, and follow the Summer Road to Patrol Headquarters at the top of the mountain. Racers will then start the descent heading down the Beavers Loop Trail (B.L.T.) to mid-mountain then left onto Wheels Up to the base area.
