6th Alley Bar & Grill

Arapahoe Basin Ski Area is holding a Fundraiser for two of our employees who have been diagnosed with cancer in the past year.  This event will be held on January 10, 2018 in the 6th Alley Bar and Grill. All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Summit County local Tim Finnigan and John Catrambone.

Tim Finnigan

Long-time Summit County resident and 33-year A-Basin employee Tim Finnigan was diagnosed with lymph node cancer of the throat in June 2017. After extensive radiation treatment at Shaw Cancer Center this summer, Tim recently learned that his initial treatment was successful, and he is now cancer-free. Tim has continued in his role at A-Basin as Director of Mountain Operations and is looking forward to another great season. He plans on donating a portion of the funds raised from this event to the Shaw Cancer Center in Edwards, Colo.

John Catrambone

John Catrambone (aka Junior) has been a long-time winter resident of Summit County and an A-Basin employee since the 2009-10 season. Originally hailing from the east coast, Junior has contributed to many of A-Basin’s operations including Grooming, Guest Services, Marketing, and Arapahoe Sports retail shop while spending several summers running his family’s ice cream shop in Hanover, Mass. Junior was diagnosed with advanced-stage prostate cancer last winter and continues his brave battle against this debilitating disease. Despite this battle, Junior is currently working as a lead in the A-Basin Guest Services department with a smile on his face and an unending willingness to help A-Basin’s guests with anything they might need
