Join us for a six-part series of uphill challenges on Tuesday mornings in November, December, and January. Register for all six and save, or pick and choose which morning works best for you. The early morning Rise and Shine Rando Races are a fun and challenging way to start your day! Pre-registration is mandatory.

COURSE: 

Today we will start up Sundance, then turn left into the trees near the weather station. After crossing the flats just below Black Mountain Lodge, we will again dive into the trees of Mountain Goat Alley to break treeline below Gentry. Traversing the bench under Gentry, we will come to a steep mandatory boot pack up next to the rope line in the closed portion of Gentry. A light pack is not mandatory, but would be very wise. When we hit the flat at the top, we will jump back in our skis and head up to the summit via Dercums to Lenawee face. Skiers will continue to PHQ. Transition to ski down the Cornice Run and carry on across the ridgeline to the top of the Pali chair. Along the way, you will need to skate and herringbone up a sharp knoll to visit the cool feature of the Old Pali Bullwheel. Don’t forget to enjoy the view! Start down Grizzly, then Slalom Slope to Powder Keg Glade. Past Black Mountain Lodge and take Ramrod to the base area. Transition where we started and start up again with a twist! We will be taking a route, mostly in the trees between Sundance and High Noon back up to the indoor finish at Black Mountain Lodge. This route will be used for uphill access during operational hours.
