Arapahoe Basin Ski Area is completely closed for an undetermined amount of time (at least May 25) by executive order from the Governor of Colorado. Our ski season typically extends into mid-June and we hope to reopen this season if allowed and if our community is ready.

Please check your email if you have an unused, pre-purchased Arapahoe Basin product. If you have additional questions, please email abasin@a-basin.net or call 888-ARAPAHOE between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. MST. We appreciate your patience as our small team works to get back to you in a timely manner.

Please know that this is a rapidly evolving situation. We want to be as transparent as possible. This page will be updated with the most current information regarding our products. For the latest on the status of ski area operations, please read our COO's blog

Refunds, Transfers & Other FAQ

Select Lift Tickets

We are automatically refunding all one-day and two-day lift tickets that were purchased for specific dates through the end of our 2019-20 ski season (scheduled closing date is June 7). No further action is required on your part.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for the refund. Credit card processing companies are significantly delaying refunds and the timing is unfortunately out of our control. We will work through refunds on our end as quickly as possible.

Unused 2019-20 Multi-Day Pass Days (includes Elevation Passes and Any Day Passes valid for 1-5 days)

If we are able to reopen this May or June, your Elevation or Any Day pass will be valid.

Whatever happens with the rest of the 2019-20 season, any day(s) that you have remaining on your multi-day A-Basin pass will be transferred to next season. Your pass will be valid opening day 2020 through February 28, 2021 with no blackout dates or restrictions.

Remaining Any Day or Elevation Pass days are restricted for use only by the person for which they were originally assigned and are non-transferrable. Refunds will not be granted for remaining days.

To redeem unused day(s) during the 2020-21 season, please visit our guest services office to pick up a new RFID card once we are open. If we open again this season, your existing pass card will work and we ask that you pay close attention to A-Basin communications for details on how to access the mountain.

Unused Transferable 4-Pack Lift Tickets Valid for 2019-20 Season

All unused tickets purchased as part of a Transferable 4-Pack will automatically be transferred to the 2020-21 ski season and valid from opening day 2020 through February 28, 2021.

Refunds will not be granted for these days.  If we are able to re-open for the 2019-20 season, you may use your tickets to visit. Any unused days after our closing for the 2019-20 season will still be transferred to the 2020-21 season.

Additional information on how to redeem unused tickets next season will be shared around the time that we open for the 2020-21 season. Because we do not collect email addresses for these ticket purchases, please keep an eye on our website for details.

2019-20 Arapahoe Basin Season Passes (Full, Midweek, Military, Senior)

At this time, we are still anticipating that we may reopen for the 2019-20 season. If we are able to reopen in May or June, your pass will be valid. We are awaiting this possibility before we commit to any action for 2019-20 Arapahoe Basin passholders.

Ikon & Ikon Base Passes, Mountain Collective Passes

If we are able to reopen in May or June, your pass will be valid. If you have additional questions about your pass, please contact the company that issued it.

Beach Reservations

We are automatically refunding all Beach reservations through the end of our 2019-20 ski season. No further action is required on your part. Social distancing guidelines will not tolerate large gatherings and the Beach will remain closed even if we are allowed to reopen.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for the refund. Credit card processing companies are significantly delaying refunds and the timing is unfortunately out of our control. We will work through refunds on our end as quickly as possible.

Ski and Snowboard Lessons

If your reservation was for March 15, 2020 or later:

We are automatically refunding all ski or snowboard lessons that were reserved on a date that fell between March 15, 2020 and the end of our ski season. No further action is required on your part.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for the refund. Credit card processing companies are significantly delaying refunds and the timing is unfortunately out of our control. We will work through refunds on our end as quickly as possible.

If you have unused lessons as part of a FLEX 4 lessons pack OR were waiting to reschedule a pre-booked lesson this season (that you postponed prior to March 15):

We will automatically transfer certain pre-purchased lessons to the 2020-21 season. This includes unused 2019-20 FLEX 4 lesson products; and 2019-20 lessons that were already booked, cancelled prior to March 15 and pending a reschedule.

If you were waiting to reschedule a lesson this season that you had to cancel, you now have a credit on your account to take the same type of lesson next season whenever you want. All you have to do is call us when you are ready to schedule the lesson.

More information will be sent out to these specific guests in Fall 2020 about how to rebook. Our next lesson season is planned for late November 2020 through April 2021.

How do I contact you?

Our call center is currently closed. Please e-mail us at abasin@a-basin.net if you have questions. We appreciate your patience as our small team works to get back to you in a timely manner.

Is uphill access open?

No. Arapahoe Basin operates on federal public land under a special use permit administered by the U.S. Forest Service. We are authorized to control access to the lands within the permit area, up to and including a complete closure. Our mountain is completely closed at this time.
