Access for closing weekend is still by reservation, only. If you have a reservation to join us June 6 or 7, please read this page carefully.

What to Expect

  • NO RESERVATION, NO ACCESS. A limited number of people will be admitted daily. Do not come if you do not have a pre-booked reservation.

  • TAILGATING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Arapahoe Basin staff will actively police the parking lots to ensure compliance with all state, county and company mandates. There are no exceptions.

  • BRING A FACE COVERING. You must wear it when you cannot maintain 6 feet of physical distancing outdoors and in designated areas.

  • You will be asked to leave if you do not follow all guidelines laid out by Arapahoe Basin, which were developed in conjunction with state and county health authorities. 

  • Please stay home if you are sick or are considered high risk.

  • This is not an experience suitable for beginners. To reduce injury risk, we recommend only experienced skiers/riders. Expect spring conditions.

Operating Hours
  • Daily, beginning Wednesday, May 27 - Sunday, June 7

  • Lift hours: 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (Reservations required)

  • 6th Alley Bar & Grill: 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

  • Black Mountain Lodge BBQ: 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

  • Uphill access: 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m. (A-Basin Uphill Access Pass required; must be off the hill by 8:00 a.m.)

  • Parking lot gates will be locked 4:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.

  • Please do not arrive prior to 7:30 a.m.

Operations may be limited or modified at any time in response to changing circumstances.

Reservations (Required)


If you have a passholder or a ticket reservation for June 6 or 7, please read this information and your confirmation email carefully. 

  • We will email you the following day by noon MDT whether or not you are chosen. CHECK YOUR SPAM FOLDER / PROMOTIONS TAB. YOU MAY NOT HEAR FROM US IF YOU DID NOT GET PICKED *AND* YOU HAVE OPTED OUT OF OUR EMAILS IN THE PAST. 

  • If you are chosen to make up to 2 free passholder reservations (BOTH people must have a valid pass), we will send you a confirmation email that you MUST bring with your pass(es).

  • If you are chosen to purchase up to 4 (four) $99 lift tickets, we will send you a voucher and link to purchase your ticket(s) online prior to arriving. 


  • Only people with a reservation will be allowed on the property. Paper copy or have the reservation ready to go on your phone.




You will not be allowed to ski without both your reservation and your pass. If you are party of 2 people, we suggest you print out the confirmation page twice, one for each person.



  • Arapahoe Basin 2019-20 pass (including full-season, Double-Down, military, senior, youth, child, midweek, and multi-day passes i.e. Elevation and Any-Day, College 5 Day, Kids Free2Ski, Transferable 4 Packs) -- Please use the A-Basin Passholder link, below
  • 2019-20 Ikon, Ikon Base and Mountain Collective Passes with remaining A-Basin days
  • Unredeemed A-Basin exchange days on either the 2019-20 Taos Ski Valley or Monarch Mountain passes
  • Summit Foundation Medallion, CSCUSA/NSAA Gold Coins, 5th and 6th Grade Passports​
  • You MUST have days remaining on limited-day pass products! 



Tickets are non-transferrable and not for resale. ID must match confirmation.

  • The ticket acts as your reservation. 
  • No tickets will be sold on-site or over the phone.
  • Comp (free) tickets will not be accepted for the duration of the 2019-20 season. 
  • No refunds, no rain checks for any reason.
Parking + Check-In
  • Parking lot gates open daily at 7:30 a.m. Do not arrive before then. 

  • You will be asked to show your reservation before entering the parking lot.  

  • Park, gear up, grab your mask and head directly to the Mountain Goat Plaza to have your reservation checked and your pass scanned / ticket issued. You will not be scanned each time you get on a lift. A-Basin staff will be present to direct you on where to go.

  • TAILGATING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Arapahoe Basin Staff will actively police the parking lots to ensure compliance with all state, county and company mandates. 

Guest Responsibilities

Personal responsibility and respect for your fellow skiers and riders is the key to the success of spring skiing at A-Basin. All guests will be required to read and acknowledge the Arapahoe Basin COVID-19 policies and procedures. 

If you cannot follow these guidelines, you will be asked to leave.

  • Wear a face covering when you cannot maintain 6 feet of physical distancing outdoors and in designated areas. This is a requirement of the Summit County public health order.

  • Adhere to strict physical distancing guidelines.

  • Congregating in the base area and tailgating in the parking lot are strictly prohibited.

  • Stay home if you are sick or at high risk.

  • Leave immediately if you begin to show signs or symptoms of illness. 

  • Ski / ride within your ability to reduce the chance of injury.

Lifts + Terrain

Lift lines have been re-designed to keep people 6 feet apart. You will not be allowed to ride the lift with anyone not in your immediate party. Lift speeds will be slowed on Lenawee to remove the need for a staff member to bump chairs.

It is imperative guests ski and ride safely. Terrain is limited and spring conditions exist. In order to minimize injuries and incidents, Arapahoe Basin recommends only experienced skiers and riders to visit. This is not a beginner experience and we thank you in advance for respecting the responsibilities of our ski patrol as first responders.

Restrooms + Services
  • RESTROOMS: Open in the base area and at mid-mountain. They will be cleaned at regular intervals.

  • FIRST AID: Available on a limited basis. The doors will be locked and you will be met by an attendant, first, if you need something. PLEASE SKI AND RIDE RESPONSIBLY.

  • GUEST SERVICES: One ticket window will be open at the Guest Services building. Questions? Call 888-ARAPAHOE or email us at 

  • Services not available: A-Basin will not provide rentals, lockers, lessons, or shuttle busses. Common areas in the A-Frame will remain closed. 

  • Limited food, beverage and retail operations will be available.


What are the uphill access hours and procedures? 

Uphill access will be open between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. beginning on May 27. You MUST have an Arapahoe Basin Uphill Access Pass and display it at all times. Users must be off the mountain by 8:00 a.m. We are no longer selling or issuing uphill access passes. Park in the admin lot. The restrooms will NOT be open.

Will you have food or drinks available?

We will have limited food and beverage offerings available in the base area at the 6th Alley Bar & Grill, and at Black Mountain Lodge at mid-mountain. 

Can I book more than one day of skiing and riding at a time?

No. You can only make a reservation / purchase tickets for one day at a time. Your reservation is ONLY good for the specific day indicated, even if you are a passholder. 

Can I make a reservation for several days / two weeks / etc. from now? 

No. We are only doing bookings for one day at a time.  

Can I use my A-Basin Midweek Pass on the weekend?

You may make a reservation for Monday-Friday, only. 

The following are NOT eligible for a free reservation:

Employee comp tickets, volunteer comp tickets, Real Deals or Gems comp tickets. You also cannot use your friend ticket deal as a passholder. If you don't have a valid pass or leftover ticket from the transferrable 4-pack, you must purchase a ticket. 

What if I purchased a 4-pack of non-date-specific lift tickets for the 2019-20 season and did not use all of them?

You are eligible to make a free reservation but you MUST make that reservation AND bring the unused ticket with you as it will be scanned along with your reservation confirmation. 

If I have exchange days left on my Taos / Monarch pass, how does that work?

Please go to the ticket window, first, as you have a pass product that will not scan at A-Basin. We will issue you a ticket to then take to the checkpoint. 

Help! I lost my pass!

We can reprint A-Basin, Ikon, Mountain Collective, and Elevation Any Day passes as well as transferable 4 pack tickets. Come to the ticket window. But PLEASE don't forget your pass. We are trying to minimize guest interactions and need your help with this. 

Are you selling any 2019-20 A-Basin pass products?

No. If you don't have one already, you will need to purchase a ticket to come. This includes 2019-20 uphill passes. We are no longer offering those. 

Will the Summit Stage bus be running to A-Basin?

No, you will have to drive yourself. And while we normally love carpooling, please don't carpool with anyone whom you do not live with. 

How exactly does arrival and check-in work?

  • No one will be allowed to enter our parking lots without a reservation.
  • Please maintain appropriate physical distancing as you gear up.
  • Per the Summit County public health order, we are requiring face coverings as you transition through our check-in process; please put your face covering on before you encounter others! 
  • A-Basin staff will direct you from the parking lots through the Mountain Goat Plaza to one of our two checkpoints. Please have both your reservation and pass ready to present to our checkpoint staff (either a printed copy or pulled up on your phone; remember that our cell service is not good).
  • If you are skiing on a day ticket, that exchange will also take place at the checkpoints. 
  • You will not be scanned each time you load a lift, only at our Mountain Goat Plaza checkpoint.

What if I lose something?

Please keep track of your stuff. So we are not handling other peoples' items, we will not be running our usual lost and found out of Guest Services. There will be a lost and found basket on the steps of the Ticket Office. 

How are you keeping guests safe?

Lift speeds will be slowed on Pali and Lenawee to remove the need for a staff member to bump chairs. You will not be scanned each time you load a lift.

Physical distancing will be enforced, as will the wearing of face coverings in designated areas and when guests can't maintain 6 feet of physical distancing. 

Alcohol-based sanitizer will be available for guests and employees at convenient locations to ensure proper hygiene measures. 

A-Basin has adopted CDC guidelines including enhanced sanitation procedures designed to combat the transmission of COVID-19 for restrooms, door handles, counter tops, tables, chairs, benches and other high touch surfaces. 

How are you keeping staff safe?

All staff received mandatory training on all executive orders, county health orders, and A-Basin’s COVID-19 pandemic response plan. Staff are required to adhere to all health and safety procedures including daily self-screening, physical distancing measures, PPE requirements, personal hygiene best practices, and cleaning and disinfection procedures. 

All employees are encouraged to voice concerns or violations to ski area management, and are required to stay home or go home if feeling unwell. Employees are being provided masks, are checked for signs and symptoms of illness every day when they arrive, and employee job roles were re-designed to minimize contact with each other and guests.
