Free Mountain Tours

New to Arapahoe Basin? Want to learn more about your favorite mountain? Sample our intermediate terrain and learn about our history or our ecology on a free mountain tour. Available daily Monday-Friday beginning January 2020.  



Guided Mountain Tours

  • January 13, 2020 - April 16, 2020

  • Monday - Thursday, 9:30 and 10:30 a.m.

  • FREE! But you must have a valid lift ticket or pass.

Join A-Basin volunteers for a 1- to 2-hour tour of A-Basin's front side. Learn about the history of our ski area, founded in 1946. 


Ski With a Ranger Tours

  • January 17, 2020 - April 16, 2020

  • Fridays, 10:30 a.m.

  • FREE! But you must have a valid lift ticket or pass.

Join volunteers from the Friends of the Dillon Ranger District (FDRD) for a 1- to 2-hour tour of A-Basin's front side. Learn about the ecology of our mountain home in the White River National Forest. 


Information about all tours

You MUST be at least an intermediate skier or snowboarder. Tours begin at the top of the mountain at 12,500 feet and stick to the front side. Tours do not enter The Beavers, Steep Gullies, East Wall or Pallavicini terrain but might enter Montezuma Bowl if the group agrees on it. 

Meet in the base area. Your guide will be wearing a yellow jacket. Reservations NOT required. 

Tours are weather dependent. They may be cancelled if visibility is not good. Please call before you come if you are unsure. 888-ARAPAHOE
