Summer Activities at A-Basin

Welcome to Summer at Arapahoe Basin

open daily for summer operations beginning June 23, 2023 (conditions permitting)

Arapahoe Basin is more than a ski area. Summer on our mountain is off the beaten path and at a higher elevation than anywhere else in the area. When you think of an authentic Colorado Rocky Mountain experience, this peaceful, natural, and rugged place is what you're imagining. We invite you to explore our high-alpine adventures, including dining, guided activities, free trails, and special events.

A-Basin sits adjacent to the Continental Divide in Summit County, Colorado with incredible views, cool temperatures and no crowds—offering you a high-alpine, big-mountain experience between 10,780 and 13,000 feet. All activities take place in the trees or on the mountain, putting you right in the midst of a stunning landscape covered in wildflowers and visited often by a resident mountain goat herd.

Summer Activities at A-Basin

VIA FERRATA GUIDED CLIMB

This is your gateway to a true Colorado mountain climbing experience! Via ferratas are rock climbing routes that involve fixed steel cables, iron rungs, and the use of a harness. A-Basin’s via ferrata is entirely above treeline on the famed East Wall, a popular area for expert skiers and snowboarders.

Arapahoe Basin's via ferrata is a guided-only experience. Choose from a full- or a half-day mountain adventure. The full-day tour ascends 800 feet to a 13,000’ summit with stunning, 360-degree views. Or, choose a shorter adventure with the goal of reaching an old mine shaft where you can learn more about the history of the area.

NO UNGUIDED ACCESS. ADVANCE RESERVATIONS REQUIRED.

Aerial Adventure Park

At A-Basin’s aerial adventure park, take a self-guided tour among the treetops, swinging and climbing between wooden platforms in the forest and enjoying zip lines, ladders, and balancing. We provide all the gear and training you need to fully explore the park safely.

There’s also our Lil’ Kids Adventure Park, open the same hours as the regular park. It’s built for your younger family members to enjoy all the fun of the obstacle course on a slightly smaller scale. It’s perfect for kids between 4 and 8 years who are accompanied by an adult. Make your reservation, now for the A-Basin ropes course!
