Aerial Adventure Park FAQ

Think of an aerial adventure park as a ropes course high in the trees. Our five main courses take you on a self-guided tour through the forest canopy. You will be trained on how to use your safety equipment, then set free to enjoy this experience at your own pace for 2 full hours. Stick to your favorite courses or explore all five.

Up to 2 hours.

Aerial adventure park guests must be able to safely and effectively move through the course independently with minimal assistance or with a qualified companion. Movements required include ascending, descending, traversing, manipulation of ropes, operation of handles, and operation of the LockD Clips (safety equipment). Guests must weigh over 50 lbs. and not more than 270 lbs.

Age restrictions exist for various courses within the park and not all participants will be able to access all aerial courses. Adult supervision or participation will be required for children between the ages of 4-14; an adult must remain on A-Basin property for participants between the ages 15-17 years old.

Close-toed shoes are required. No sandals, flip-flops or Crocs are allowed. Hair should be tied back and loose jewelry removed to prevent snagging on the harness or obstacles. Pants, leggings or long shorts are recommended to allow the harness to fit properly. Tight jeans or short shorts may be uncomfortable. We recommend you bring layers as our mountain weather can change quickly. Single-use gloves are provided, but you may bring your own. We suggest bringing a water bottle. The park elevation starts around 10,780 feet and hydration is important.

Cell phones and other devices will not be allowed when you're climbing in the park. Leave personal belongings and valuables in your car.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your reservation. That will give you time to use the bathroom. Check in is located in Mountain Goat Plaza (our base area adjacent to the parking lot) and will take place outside the Kids Center.

We will outfit you with your climbing gear, show you how to use it, and let you practice on the ground before you begin your adventure in the park. (Each time you visit, you are required to go through this training process.) We anticipate it will take about 15 minutes to complete this training. Your total time allotted in the park is 2 hours and 15 minutes to make sure you get the full 2 hours on course.

The blue intermediate (hardest) aerial course will take you up to 40 feet in the air.

Yes! While the intent is for you to enjoy the aerial adventure park independently, staff will be on hand to provide encouragement, suggestions and assistance as needed.

In the event of severe weather such as lightning or high winds, the aerial park may close temporarily or for the day. We will provide you a coupon for a return visit should you be unable to climb as scheduled due to a weather event. The park will continue to operate in conditions such as light rain or light snow without the presence of high winds, lightning or snow accumulation.

The aerial adventure park is not appropriate for individuals who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, who are pregnant, or who have a pre-existing medical condition (such as recent surgeries, back issues, heart conditions, pacemakers, etc.) that could be aggravated by participation in the activity. Remember that this park is at a high elevation (10,780+ feet). Weight and height limitations are dictated by the safety equipment.

Yes! Bring your class, office, or party to test your skills. Please contact our guest services office to inquire: call 888.272.7246 or email GroupReservations@A-Basin.Net
