Meet a few of our Instructors
Snowsports Instructor Rachel Sowers I have been teaching snowboarding & skiing for over 20 years in Summit County. As a PSIA/AASI certified instructor I love to slide on snow and Arapahoe Basin is an incredibly special place. My favorite groomed run is Sundance, a front side green slope that is perfect for everybody. Pallavicini (Pali) chair is beloved by many including myself, it is difficult to imagine a better place on a powder day. Teaching allows me to share my love of Snowsports with all ages and abilities, making memories and sharing experiences that can connect all of us.
Snowsports Instructor David Singleton Let’s have a blast! That’s what’s important. I’ve been a ski instructor in Summit County since 1991, and here at the Basin since 2017. I’ve always believed that skiing is about the most fun you can have and A Basin has some of the best challenging terrain for every level. This goes for beginners as well as experts. Anyone can learn and be supported to take a step forward in their skiing. Let’s go explore!
SnowSports Instructor Tim Stroh I am a passionate Telemark (and Alpine) skier. I first experienced Arapahoe Basin in 1975. I love to teach so I can share the freedom and joy of skiing. My greatest moments are seeing the smile on someone's face when they make their personal goals! There is no more inclusive ski community than Arapahoe Basin. If you are a first timer, want to ski the Pallavacini (my favorite), or want a mountain tour, I will help you make your skiing goals a reality on Telemark or Alpine gear.
