Rise and Shine Rando Series #1
Tuesday, November 14, 2017 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
Base Area, Mountain Goat Plaza

Join us for a six part series of uphill challenges Tuesday mornings in November, December and January. Challenge yourself to all six or pick and choose which morning works the best for you and your workout schedule. Starting in Mountain Goat Plaza at 10,780’ and finishing near the Summit at 12,474’, with twists and turns along the way, the early morning Rise and Shine Rando Races are a fun and challenging way to start your day!

Sample Course Description

The race will start at 7:00 a.m. in Mountain Goat Plaza (check-in begins at 6:00 a.m. in the Rental Shop). Racers will skin up High Noon to Black Mountain Lodge, yell their bib number to the race official, and then transition/remove skins and head down Ramrod to the plaza. Rinse, repeat. At 8:00 a.m., we will start to hold racers at Black Mountain Lodge, as you cannot start a new lap after that time. The three men and three women with the most laps in the shortest amount of time will win prizes! We think this is a pretty fun way to make the most out of this early season, and get some solid training in for those of you who use this race to prep for long tours or for fitness, with plenty of transitions and downhill!

Cost:  TBD

Dynafit will be on site with a small demo fleet of race skis, boots and several touring setups for beginners. Dynafit, along with our other sponsors, will be providing top prizes and fun shwag!

April
29th Annual Enduro & Après Party
Wednesday, April 11, 2018 All day event
On-Mountain, Pallavicini

A leg-burning, on-mountain event combined with a rockin' après party.

Lapping the Pali not your thing, but parties are? Then join us in the A-Frame for our annual Enduro Après Party! We'll have live music, a huge silent auction and a chef inspired dinner created by A-Basin’s own Chef Vlass.

Event Beneficiary

All proceeds will benefit a local family or community member in need.

Pali Enduro
35 teams of two take laps up the Pallavicini (Pali) chair and either ski or ride down the mountain on designated lines from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. without stopping. The entry fee is $150 for teams of two and includes a t-shirt, the 2018 Enduro poster, dinner, a beer or beverage, bib drawing for prizes, the Après Party in the A-Frame, and bragging rights! Check in starts at 6:00 a.m. in the Rental Shop in the Winter Sports Building, with a participant meeting at 6:30 a.m.

The Enduro Light
We know that not everyone is ready to ski for 10 hours on the Pali, so we devised the Enduro Light – a non-competitive, less intense ski tour of Arapahoe Basin. We’ve brought you a course where you can find hidden secrets, learn fun facts and discover our trails at your own pace. Feel the excitement of the Pali laps, then escape into the sunshine of Montezuma Bowl. Surf down Slalom Slope to the sunny deck at Black Mountain Lodge and soak in the incredible views of the East Wall. Check off each designated site on your “passport” and be entered into the Enduro Light prize drawing at the end of the day. The Enduro Light occurs during normal lift hours, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The entry fee is $100 per team of two and includes the 2018 Enduro poster, dinner, a beer or beverage, and a special drawing for those who get to all the stops on their Enduro Light passports.
