Join us for a five-part series of uphill challenges Tuesday mornings in November, December and January. Challenge yourself to all five or pick and choose which morning works the best for you and your workout schedule. Starting in Mountain Goat Plaza at 10,780’ and finishing near the Summit at 12,474’, with twists and turns along the way, the early morning Rise and Shine Rando Races are a fun and challenging way to start your day!
Course Description Example
Up High Noon to Grizzly Rd., top of Pali Lift and transition to ski. Across to the West Wall Saddle and down through Dercum’s Gulch staying to the east of the Tree Line terrain park. Use Lenawee traverse and Burt’s bypass to a transition area just below the bottom of Lenawee lift and maze. My hope is by lowering the transition slightly we will capture all racers before they go to low on the Landing Strip. Marshall/volunteer and wind flag at this transition area just below Btm. of Lenawee. Uphill east of lift until Twr. 3, through the old weather station gap and across West Gully to Gentry trees. Exit trees at the bottom of Gentry face and traverse west to between Jamie’s Face and Gentry. Boot pack up in a closed section to Lake Reveal with skis back on ( the top of this boot pack is another good place for a Marshall/volunteer) and skin across Dercum’s. Contour through lower Norway and Core Shot to Big Al rock. Transect small closed area and climb up Musket Ball to the Cornice Run. Up to PHQ for the finish in Snow Plume.
This course has approximately 2,150’ of elevation gain and is around 3 miles long.
$25 for one race
$125 for all six
