I just did my annual closing weekend interview with Matt Renoux from 9NEWS. I always have fun shooting the breeze with him. One of our niches in the ski world is to stay open as long as we can. To do so, we track snow conditions and weather forecasts regularly, making adjustments to our plan on a weekly, if not daily, basis. This monitoring and flexibility gives us the chance to extend the season whenever we can. Our snowcat operator team deserves an absolute A+ for managing the snow and keeping us open. We would not be re-opening without them. They have held the place together.
While we do have a little snow in the forecast Monday and Tuesday, this is it. The weather warms up again after next week's storm and, we truly think, there won't be enough snow left to pull off another re-opening. The skiing and the scene up here this weekend will be extraordinary. This is it, the final weekend of the Colorado ski resort scene. Hope to see you here making some turns.
