Managing The Snow

There is a lot of work to do, but a lot has been completed. This morning I took a tour with Louis covering open terrain and then, from the Summit, skiing Cornice Run, hiking to the top of Pali and skiing Grizzly. Over the last two days we have opened Sundance, Wrangler, Molly Hogan and the rest of Lenawee Parks. Using the winch cat, Trevor has track packed most of Columbine in Montezuma Bowl and Loafer in The Beavers. For the next several days, I anticpate new trails opening each day. While the order of the openings is not finalized, over the coming days, expect to ski Powerline, Norway, Cornice Run, West Wall and, eventually, Slalom Slope. Who knows, next week we might be dipping into Western edges of the North Side. We have loads of snowcat, avalanche, snowmaking and general trail work to complete. The reward will be some pretty fine powder skiing.
