September Snow

September has been a wet month including a bit of snow the last two days. It looks like we are in for a few very nice, sunny days followed by a few more possibly stormy days around the weekend. The precipitation is so good for all of us. It is good for the vegetation and animals. It is good for the watershed. And, increased streamflows are good for snowmaking. As always, this time of year, we are watching the temperatures very closely. Snowmaking for A-Basin typically begins in the period from late September to ealry October. Rest assured, we are waiting for the temps to drop and are poised and ready to get this winter started.
