We had a stormy morning with a few inches of new snow. The sun is starting to pop out and we expect the clouds and moisture to blow out of here this afternoon. We should have a clear and cold night. Around sunset, we will start making snow again. Tuesday and Wednesday look kind of warm-ish and sunny. Much of the snow on the south facing slopes will likely melt. That water will flow into the North Fork of the Snake River and some of it will be diverted into our snowmaking reservoir. Later in the week, our snowmaking team will pump that same water back uphill and re-convert it into snow again. I get excited for October snowfall because I know it only enhances our snowmaking efforts which leads to lots of fun skiing and riding.
