Our brilliant and dear friend, Joey Klein, was just elected into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame. Joey is known around the world for his incredible work as a builder and designer of mountain bike trails. His humble beginings, many decades ago, were at Arapahoe Basin as an Atomic Janitor in the A-Frame. Joey went on to be a patroller, instructor and a number of other things. While doing those jobs, Joey started working on trails in Summit County which, ultimately, led to a career with the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA). For the last 15 years, Joey has been the designer, trail builder and trail building instructor for the A-Basin summer trail system. As many of you know, his work is unmatched. His passion and enthusiasm for sharing the sport of mountain biking flows into all that he does. It has been an honor and a treat to know and work with Joey all these years.
