This afternoon Louis and I took a spin hiking and skiing down the Cornice Run, over the top of Pali and down Grizzly Road. It looks exceptionally good. I wouldn't say it is ready to open, but all that new snow and favorable winds have really helped, especially Slalom Slope and Griz Ridge. The cats have fully packed the route. As we were moving around, the wind was favorably adding snow on the leeward side of the ridges. The uneven marks left by the snowcats track packing in this area have been ideal for catching snow. With a storm like last weekend (maybe even smaller) we could be in line to get Pali Lift open. I did find half a dozen magical turns over by the 13 Cornices gate.
