I got out and about this morning for a couple hours. We had a little bit of snow and, again, the skiing and the snow surface was really good. I skied Loafer, Cornice Run, West Wall, Humbug and several other places. I know the snow year has been light, but the conditions on the open terrain are fantastic and worth taking the time to ski and enjoy.
To top that off, a couple of old friends, Tom and Cathy, showed up this week and we had some good fun skiing. I moved to Summit County with Tom and another friend in 1983. We had some very special days back then. Over time, life happens, you get busy, you have kids, Tom and Cathy moved away and we lost track of each other. Kudos to them for tracking me down. I can't think of a better way to reconnect than skiing together at The Basin. Beautiful, beautiful day.
