Yesterday was, in fact, a great sleeper powder day. I got out for a bit in the middle of the day and found good snow all over the place. While The Spine is my favorite run of all time, I do have a bunch of other favorite runs including the Cornice Run. The trail sits on the leeward side of the ridge which has been enhanced with snowfences. The snow there is continually refreshed by the wind and just about, almost always outstanding. Yesterday was no exception. To top off the snow, skiing down that ridge with the 360 degrees view of Colorado's above timberline, alpine paradise always blows me away. I never get tired of the Cornice Run.
