Last month at the Colorado Ski Country USA Annual Meeting, Arapahoe Basin's own Javier Pineda was named the 2026 Colorado Instructor of the Year. In addition to being a pillar in our commuity, Javier is a heck of an instructor. More importantly, he reaches out to everyone and engages people that otherwise would not try skiing or riding. He convinces them to head to The Basin and give snowsports a try. He is the best at getting a tentative, potential rider to get on the snow, start sliding around and come back time and again. All of us at A-Basin feel lucky to work with such a fine person and instructor. Congratulations Javier.
