Shooting Gallery

You know, at The Basin, we have a crazy number of trail names on our maps and signs. On top of that, one can hardly travel more than 100-200' without entering another informally named area. On the East Wall, we use an "Avalauncher" to help with our risk mitigation, shooting projectiles into avalanche starting zones. That piece of equipment is in the center of the open area on this photo. Hence, the informal name here is the "Shooting Gallery."
