THE LEGEND
No BS, Just Skiing.

At Arapahoe Basin Ski Area, you don’t have to deal with all the bells and whistles, hoops to jump through, and all that none sense.

When you're here, just get on the lift and enjoy over 1,400 skiable acres, including the most diverse in-bounds terrain in the state, and a home-grown vibe across Colorado’s longest winter season.

We’re a quality-over-quantity, laid-back, come-as-you-are kind of place with room on the slopes and a seat at the bar. With 73% expert terrain, limited crowds, and unmatched vibes, there’s a reason we’re known as The Legend. It’s no BS, just really good skiing.

OUR COMMUNITY

Our A-Basin community is bar-none living out traditions like the 6th Alley Mug Club and The Enduro, and creating new ones like our Pride Weekend, Gay Basin, kicking off in 2022.

We have partnered with the Colorado Blackpackers, SOS Outreach, Denver Public Library, Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, and our local public schools to lower barriers to entry for skiing, riding, and outdoor summer adventures. Legends are everywhere and anyone, and they make us who we are.

SUSTAINABILITY
We are proud to be a carbon neutral operation!

After setting a goal to reach Carbon Neutrality by 2025 in 2018, we achieved this 2 years ahead of schedule, following the announcement of 100% renewable electricity in late 2023.

As leaders in the ski-area sustainability movement, we are committed to being thoughtful stewards of this exceptional mountain environment so that current and future generations can continue to enjoy it for seasons to come.

Our sustainability efforts are broad, company-wide, and intentionally built into our culture and our business. By conserving and limiting our resource use, protecting our spectacular natural surroundings, and working hard to educate our guests and staff alike, A-Basin is finding ways to walk lighter on our planet - even in our ski and snowboard boots

PRESERVING THE EXPERIENCE

Keeping A-Basin a beautiful, laid-back ski area with room on the slopes and a seat at the bar is our top priority. We focus on mitigating crowds, putting less stress on the terrain, and shortening lift lines.

Our new parking reservation system was implemented in 2024 to support all of these goals. Parking had always been our pinch point on busier days and created dangerous conditions on Loveland Pass. The goal of the new system is to get people up to the ski area, parked, and out on the hill faster, easier, and with less stress.

With the help of this reservation system, we increased our carpool passengers from 1.8 people per vehicle to 3.2 in one season. We saw 0 days of traffic backed up on Loveland Pass and we had 0 days of turning folks around because we ran out of parking. Everyone who planned to ski or ride at The Basin was able to, hassle-free.
