Closing Day at A-Basin: Then end of Ski Season in Colorado

Prepare for the End: Closing Day at A-Basin

Closing day is tentatively set for June 4

Arapahoe Basin does not set a date ahead of time for the end of the season. We ski as long as there’s snow, and then we schedule closing day so the team can prep for summer activities.

When is it?

Based on this year’s forecast, we want to keep the slopes open at least through the first weekend of June.

Activities?

  • Lake reveal should be out and showing.  This is fun place to partake in pond skimming or cheer on your friends a fellow skiers and riders as they try

  • There will be live music in the base area both Saturday and Sunday

  • Skiing and Riding in June is an activity in itself

Where to eat?

Limited menus will be available at two restaurants. Come try our award-winning bacon bloody Mary! You may also bring a brown bag lunch and enjoy that on the 2nd floor of the A-Frame building.

  • 6th Alley Bar & Grill in the base area (opens at 8 AM on weekends; 10 AM on weekdays. Open until 5 PM)

  • Black Mountain Lodge at mid-mountain (lunch daily, 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM)

  • Legends Cafe in the base area (breakfast daily, 7:15 to 10:30 AM)

What else?

Arapahoe Sports will be fully stocked with A-Basin gear, goggles, helmets, gloves, and tons of cool stuff. We also have a great selection of summer gear like biking shirts, hats, water bottles, and t-shirts!

When does summer start?

Our hiking and biking trails will open to the public as soon as the ground dries out enough for them to be operational. We’re aiming for summer terrain and operations to return in late June. Our best guess is that we will open for summer operations on June, 23rd.
