A-Basin’s Green Team is having a party for Earth Day 2018! We're partnering with Darn Tough and Clif Bar to bring you a fun day of carpooling and sustainability. We'll also host an après party with drink specials and prize drawings! All proceeds benefit POW.

It's not Darn Tough to Carpool 

Show your commitment to the environment and carpool to The Basin! The first several hundred people who show up with three or more people in their car will receive Darn Tough Socks, Clif bars and raffle tickets to the Après Party at 3:00 p.m. in Mountain Goat Plaza.

Scavenger Hunt

Come explore our mountain! This scavenger hunt will take you around Arapahoe Basin in search of how we make our mountain more sustainable. Fill out your "passport" and win a prize!

Cost: $20 per team of two, extra $5 for each additional person

Registration: On-Site at the Arapahoe Basin tent in the base area

Time: 9:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m.

At 2:00 p.m. we will have 2 time Olympian Gretchen Bleiler,  ​television host Philippe Cousteau (grandson of Jacques-Yves Cousteau) and  local athlete Cody Cirillo talk about Climate Change on 2nd floor north in the A-Frame.  

Gretchen Bleiler

Gretchen Bleiler is one of the most accomplished snowboarders in the world.  She is a 2-time Olympian and Olympic silver medalist, 4-time X Games champion, ESPY award winner and National Geographic Adventurer of the Year. 

 

 

Phillipe Cousteau

Philippe Cousteau has established himself as a prominent leader in the environmental movement. An award-winning television host, producer, author, speaker, philanthropist and social entrepreneur Philippe is the son of Philippe Cousteau Sr. and grandson of Jacques Cousteau. His life-mission is to empower people to recognize their ability to change the world. 

Cody Cirillo is a professional skier out of Breckenridge, CO and a member of the Protect Our Winters Riders Alliance. He’s spent the past few winters competing and filming across the world, all the while attending the University of Southern California where he received a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Health. He’s passionate about bottomless powder, tacos, the art of apres ski, and of course, climate change!

YOU CAN EXPECT TO HEAR A WIDE RANGE OF MUSICAL STYLES FROM THE BUNNIES. FROM 50's DOO WOP, TO THIS WEEK'S CHART TOPPER, AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN. THEIR PASSION FOR MUSIC AND VARIETY SHINES THROUGH IN EVERY PERFORMANCE. THE BUNNIES WILL NO DOUBT LEAVE YOU ENTERTAINED.
